I've only just realised I look a little cynical etc with this post/title, being Valentines Day and all; but this is actually what I wore today! It is kind of forgiveable, my not making the connection after I eventually dragged myself out of bed at a silly morning hour, really.

I don't mind anyway, looking through my wardrobe, I'd say a good chunk is made up of various 'blue hues.'

This is the shirty thing I was on about yesterday, and the skirt, well. I have been lusting after a velvet skirt for a log time now, so when I found this on Ebay, I couldn't help myself. I actually thought it was black when I purchased it, then received it blue. Re-reading the selling thing, it does say blue, but I love it anyway. And for the cheap price I found it, I may 'puch the boat out' as they say, and go a-hunting for a black one too.

My day has pretty much consisted of college, painting, painting my nails and eating Chinese food tonight. Nothing much special for the whole vday thing, but being more of a 'couple-y thing,' I was quite contented with the raspberry creme brulee my mama bought:)

A Vogue Hunt.

Sorry for the slightly picture heavy post, but thought I'd share.

I'm currently scouring the internet for old Vogue magazines, in the name of English coursework. I'm planning to compare the writing of a past edition to a current one; and that's English language for you, very analytical, almost too much so.

Yesterday, I took advantage of my working today instead, and went to a new local second hand boutique-thing, which is only open the exact hours i usually work, so how could I not? I came away with a lovely shirty thing and cute silk top; I shall show sometime!

I also drove around, from shop to shop in the search of the perfect wallpaper and paint, as I am redecorating in half term(!) and came away with several tester pots and samples. I love interior design.

Today I worked, but as it was pretty quiet, the weather turned miserable all over again, so I hauled along my camera, tripod and such, and took some snaps. Some for art work, (the question is 'collections of everyday objects' in which I plan to link to identity; so shoes(!) of course.) some hand made hair slides, and some of the furniture pieces. I may be a little sad, but yano.

The detail on some pieces, the painted table being a favourite, and the almost wire shaped table legs on others. The edges of a mirror are up there too, I just love it.

I also managed to get some outdoor shots for yesterdays outfit! Although the sun had just decided to go away the minute I stepped outside.

And sorry for the slightly 'organised chaos' background of the second. The delights of the back room in the shop.

Anyhoo, time to catch up on work/BAFTAs; more glitz and glam, I'm sure!

Taking It's Toll.

After eventually arriving home at a late time Wednesday night, they cancelled our train, so we were stuck between carriages for the majority of the journey, (I had my feet up on my suitcase and everything.) Apparently my body/head decided to fall ill and rather migraine-y; hence the lack of update, or post of any kind.

I am feeling slightly better now, after taking a couple of days off and sleeping.

So these photos are from last Sunday, a meal with the 'extended family-ish' in celebration of a friends birthday. It was pretty nice to see people, and without rambling in some ways, I realised of how lucky I am to have people. After one of them having an accident, he is pretty much the luckiest man ever. I don't particularly wish to bore you's, but I felt I should say something.

Something to think about I guess;

I'm getting a wee bit nervous about my interview now, if I'm honest. Pretty much most of the time I can never get my words out, (I don't know why; but phrases like "I know what I mean" have become regular occurrences, which my friends love to imitate!)

 I'm suspecting I won't have any time/my laptop in order to post the next couple of days, so yano.

I found this dress a few weeks ago now, a mere £1! I love the earthy tones and pattern it has, and is pretty different to anything I currently have in my wardrobe; and such a bargain!

It also appears I have huge arms, (and a Statue of Liberty-esq appearance; I think thats the camera angle) but it's just the billowy(?) sleeves, another aspect I love.

Today is/has just been a morning at college, last minute preparations etc, continuously drinking copious amounts of fruit tea and listening to Adele's new album. I'm so in love with her voice.

Coward Of Love.

I realise I have successfully succeeded in being a pretty darn bad blogger this past week. My time has just ran out, and I still cannae believe we are now in February! It doesn't seem two minutes since Christmas; and me and mama were just saying it was summer when we last went to London. It seems just the other week really. But speaking of the while London thing, my train tickets are booked, times planned out and hotel thing sorted. I am going to London on Tuesday!

Granted, it is for an interview, and just the night, but I am hoping to squeeze in a gallery and a quick pop to the shops; she says longingly.

But for now, it's last minute additions to my portfolio and all the other stuff and such.

These photos are from Friday. My friends birthday, and a house party, which turned out to be really fun. I sometimes forget how much I love seeing all that lot, being at college and them other places.

Anyhoo, I'm rambling; and hope to be back to normality with everything soon, so the plan is to finish the last of work for tomorrow, and watch some Gavin & Stacy/Sex and the City.

Every Single One Of Us Is Twisted By Design.

Today when checking my emails for the I don't know-nth time, (do you ever find that you incessantly check your emails, despite knowing that most likely nothing has changed in the past few hours?) I stumbled across a delightful peek at the new Zara SS11 campaign.

The silhouettes of each perfectly crisp item and outfit are definitely the sleek, chic staples of Zara we know and love.

With the indefinite colour popping-blocking-trend stealing much of the limelight this season, brights were anticipated, but not being the biggest fan of this as such; although hand me an orange/rust shirt, and I wouldn't say no; (stay tuned for tomorrows post) I was happy to see the continuation of various classic colours, the tan leather skirt and white shirt combination being quite a favourite.

Zara, one of my favourite high street shops has, in my opinion, not disappointed, and I'm pretty sure the minute I set foot into a shop, my arms will be ladled with hangers of items I " simply cannot help but try."

And I just love the child's outfit. And the loafers; I wonder if they'd come in my size?

Inspire.

I love the whole 'messy chic' look when it comes to hair. No longer are we expected to have perfectly groomed locks, slicked away from our faces, (okay that's kind of way back, but you know.) And minus the dance thing, then it's pretty obligatory apparently.

I don't think I'd keep up if I'm honest.

Topknots are becoming a major thing as well as fishtail plaits. Which I would love to learn how to do; although I don't think my hair is quite, or anywhere near, long enough.

A conversation with some friends the other day, one of whom has naturally red hair, was saying of how she always used to get stick for it when younger. I mean, I know people will always pick out some people, and stereotype, it's what happens. Yet now people dye their hair every colour ever, pretty much-ish.

And that's not meant to sound bordering lecture territory; my point is I love red hair. Although I don't think I could ever pull it off, I really like it.

I recently ombred a friends hair too, and it turned out really well. I think that would suit me better than a full colour, one day.

For now I'm happy with my 'coppery tones,' and many a hair clip.

Kind of pointless, but hey.
