Driving Home For Christmas.

Snowflakes from the car.

Currently posting from my laptop and an internet stick(?) after a long drive to Essex avec family, for Christmas.
In which the second outfit photo was taken from today. Excuse the rather lack of smiles, it was 8o'clock and my lack of caffeine intake is rather visible.
Anyway, I thought it worked out to be quite a decent 'layered look' and also warm, seeing as the car was once again covered in snow.

The other outfit was taken last night, after mine et friends a bit controversial Thai Christmas meal. It was lovely though, and resulted in eating what is probably slightly too much good food, a bit too much wine and a good ol' catch up:)

This will most likely be my last post before Christmas, unless I pay again for the internet thing, but I will be making the long journey home in a few days, after, of course, a weekend with the whole family, and another over indulgent few days.
Have a lovely Christmas!

Icy Delights.

My favourite part of my parents buying the paper on a Sunday:
You Magazine.
I love waking up and reading this over a cup of coffee in my usual non-aware haze of a morning.

Yesterday contained one of my favourite editorials in a while. The snowy setting, beautiful clothes, natural colours, different textures, Just lovely.
The contrast between the clean, smooth background and the delicate impression of the clothes is amazing.

Also some photos from a couple of pages, 'Work It to the Max,' shows many of my favourite things, maxi skirts, lovely blouses, simple yet gorgeous cuts and colours. Simple, yet elegant.
Secondly, lip colours. Predominantly the berry-ish colour. My favourite.
(And it would look great next to the pale colours from the editorial!)

Freedom Is Mine.

1-Can't remember(?)
2-Topshop
3-ASOS
4 & 5-Zara

Freedom! At least for the Christmas holidays, so happy, although I do have soe bits to do but ahh well:)

Some lovely photos from various places, I particularly love the first, dark green and in a maxi form. Two of my favourite things at the moment I think.

And another good note, I've finished all my shopping! Providing the postman delivers my last few bits, it's all sorted. Plus my 'Christmas dress' which I'm going to wear to my friends party on Sunday also. But hey, one must get wear out of one's purchases.

Happy Holidays/Freedom!

Vintage Tweed.

-Jacket-Vintage, Cardie-Vintage, Dress & Scarf-Thrift, Boots-Topshop, Jewellery-Various.

This is the jacket I managed to buy, I was saying about the other day.
I love it, and these photos do not show how much soo. Teaches me for wanting to take photos in the dark :)

The cardie was also a vintage find, a big shop in Leeds named 'second hand.' That's a pretty amazing place too.

Anyway, just a quick post to show you all, the week is slightly dragging, and I cannot wait to break up on Friday!

Clothes Show & A Poncho.

1-5 - Clothes Show Site
-Outfit- Poncho-Clothes Show, Blouse-H&M, Skirt-Topshop, Jewellery-Vintage/Thrift/Gift, Shoes-New Look.

Back, and break up on Friday! Cannot wait.

So, the deadlines have been done, and I'm back, after a rather lack of anything else week, but this week is looking good.

Finally uploaded my photos from Clothes Show Live the other day and it's fair to say they ain't that great..Hopes on a camera for Christmas:)
So I found some on the site, which show the outfits pretty well.
The designs were amazing, the stalls too tempting and the show was great.
It was a great day, and I would definitely recommend it, I'd go again!
I managed to snap up a few buys on the trip, a dress, scarf and this lovely poncho, after eyeing one for a wee while.

Also just received an amazing tweed jacket from ebay. A minimal 99p.
I am in Love.

Everybody Play the Game.

Outfit 1- Jumper&Necklace-Vintage, Skirt-Topshop, Scarf-Zara,
Outfit 2- Top(actually dress)& Skirt-Topshop, Shoes-Vintage,
Jewellery-Thrift/Gift/Etc.

Okay, so sorry I have totally not been around these past days.
I have been busy up to my eyes(?)

Saturday/Sunday basically included work, Monday and Tuesday evenings I have been doing a show, in which I sang in on the Tuesday, Play the Game by Queen, hence the blog title, and a duo of Under Pressure, which was really fun.
And today, after many years of wanting to go, I went to the Clothes Show Live(!) -pictures to come soon:)

So basically I have hardly been around, plus now two deadlines on Friday to work the nights away for..

Anyways, these are just a couple of outfits, the first from last Friday(ages ago, I know,) which was a lazy night in with the friends. The second is from Tuesday night and what I wore to sing! My friend Laura bought the heels for my last birthday, and I love em!

I will be catching up with all blogs and comments, so thanks and I really appreciate it. I must admit, I have been feeling rather blog deprived of late.

Lovely Things.

Via - 1, 3-7, 10,11&12 : UO,   8,9&13 : Topshop,   2&15 : Weheartit.

So as most know, the snow has taken over, I haven't been to college since Monday.. Today basically involved wandering around, catching up on art and textiles work in my biggest Topman jumper and slippers. Those are some darn great days sometimes.
Anyway, tonight I am going to try and brave the cold and hop round to Laura's avec others for a bit of a nice night, after feeling like I have been in hibernation these past days.

Beforehand -
I thought I'd share some 'lovely things' to me at the moment. With the ever approaching Christmas, I have the feelings that I must spend on others via presents, although one must buy some new party clothes.

Currently loving:
A mix of materials -
Sheer fabrics (I need a sheer maxi skirt!), Leather, Cord, Faux fur, Chiffon and Silk
Lipstick - Most colours, yet particularly berry. It's a must.
Wedges, despite the snow.
Rings, so many that it almost looks too much.
Prints of varying kinds.
Shirts & Jumpers.

I am particularly in love with the grey dress, although I can not afford. It's just simply beautiful, and I know exactly how I'd style it.
One day..

What are you loving now?
